Under this self-update service of Aadhaar, except the name of the applicant, the address, date of birth, gender etc. can be easily changed. The only condition is that the mobile number must be registered with Aadhaar. The whole process is very easy.
Can update in this way
For updation of Aadhaar card, first of all you have to go to your official website uidai.gov.in.
Here you have to click on the option named My Support.
Next go to Update Your Aadhaar and click on the Update Your Demographics Data Online column.
As soon as yu click there, you will be immediately sent to the website of self-service update portal of UIDAI ssup.uidai.gov.in.

After doing this you will have to log in the 12-digit Aadhaar card number.
Now fill the captcha given here and click on Send OTP.
After which an OTP will appear on your registered mobile number.
After removing OTP, a new page will appear. Where you have to add some details including address, date of birth, name and gender.
After doing this you have to select the section in which you want to update. The latter has to be given ID proof.
After giving all the information, OTP will come to your number and you have to change the setting by entering it.
