Objectives, eligibility and benefits of Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) was launched in 2015 by the Narendra Modi government. The pension scheme mainly focuses on the unorganized sector and investors can get good money by investing small amount. One has to start investing in pension scheme between the age of 18 to 40 years to get at least monthly returns. After this they will get a monthly pension of Rs 1000 to Rs 5,000 per month.



However, the returns depend on the age of the individual and how much they start investing. Under this scheme, one can pay in three ways- monthly, quarterly and half yearly. That is, after the age of 60, 2000 rupees will be earned every month. According to the NSDL website, you can increase your pension to Rs 24,000 by investing for 42 years. For that one has to open a savings account in a bank or post office.


The APY form is available online on the websites of all the banks. To avail the scheme, customers have to download the form online. After submitting the required information, the form has to be submitted to the nearest bank. Necessary documents will also be attached in the form.


You can exit APY after the age of 60 years. The total amount of pension will be paid to the individual along with 100% annuity. If the subscriber dies due to any reason, the pension amount will be paid to his/her spouse and if both dies, the pension amount will be returned to his/her nominee. Can't get out of the plan 60 years ago. However, some situations, such as death or critical illness of the beneficiary, can be avoided.


APY is applicable to all citizens of India between 18-40 years of age. That is, anyone can take advantage of it. Aadhaar will be the primary KYC. Customers are asked to obtain a support and a mobile number to facilitate management of the plan.

Enter Name + Bank A/C Number + Dob & Print OR Pran * + Enter Bank A/C No & Print

Prana is available in your account in AP Contribution Debit statement (Pran starts with "5" and is 12 digit number)
