On Friday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave important information about this in a written reply during the question period in the Rajya Sabha.

Apart from this, the Railway Minister also said that the country's first bullet train will start between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Which will cover a total of 12 stations. This station includes stations like Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Bilimora, Bharuch, Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi. Among these, Gujarat's Surat station will become the country's first bullet train station. Earlier, Minister of State for Railways Darshana Jardosh shared the first glimpse of the bullet train station taking shape in Surat on Thursday on social media. He shared a photo of a graphical representation of Surat Bullet Train Station.


Notably, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will cover 508 km and 12 stations at a speed of 320 km per hour. Covering 12 stations between Ahmedabad-Mumbai, this bullet train is expected to complete the journey in 2.58 hours compared to other trains. The bullet train will be operated by Shinkansen Technology, a Japanese company known for its special technology and safety features.
