Amid rising corona cases in the country, there has been big news about vaccination of children between the ages of 5 and 12.

Vaccines for children between the ages of 5 and 12 are likely to be approved soon to protect children from the growing number of coronary heart disease cases in the country. 



The government has started working in this direction. 

DCGI's Subject Expert Committee discussed the emergency use of Bharat Biotech's Covexin and Biological Eni Corbevex for children aged 5 to 12 years. 

The committee hopes that both vaccines will be approved.

Recommendation sent by expert committee to DCGI


After discussion, the committee sent the names of both the vaccines to DCGI. 

DCGI is expected to approve both vaccines soon. 

The Corbevex vaccine is currently being given to children between the ages of 12 and 14.

Corona cases are increasing day by day in the country and in such a situation keeping children safe is a big challenge and it would be better if young children were protected by vaccine. 

The government will soon approve vaccinations for children between the ages of 5 and 12.

The Corbex vaccine for children 5 to 12 years of age is expected to be approved soon. 

Biological E Ltd's Corbevex vaccine is India's third indigenously made vaccine. 

Earlier, on December 28, DCGI approved Corbevex for adults.
