According to Sundar Pichai, CEO of the search engine company, searches related to the FIFA World Cup on Sunday evening broke the records of the last 25 years. Lionel Messi’s team Argentina defeated France 4-2 in the highly exciting final of the ongoing Football World Cup in Qatar and there was a fierce clash between the two teams. Both the teams performed brilliantly and it was a fierce battle till the last minute. However, Argentina won the penalty shootout.

Sundar Pichai gave information about Google Search on microblogging platform Twitter. He wrote, “During the FIFA World Cup final, Search recorded the highest traffic in the last 25 years. Sundar called the final match “one of the most spectacular games ever” and praised both teams for their outstanding performances.

Sundar Pichai wrote that one of the greatest games of all time. Argentina and France played well. Pichai was also full of praise for Messi, who scored three goals in the final match to make the team a third world champion, calling him deserving of the win.
