AHMEDABAD: 26,500 teachers will be appointed on contractual basis under Gyan Sahachar in primary secondary and higher secondary schools by the Gujarat state government.
15,000 knowledge assistants for primary schools and 11,500 knowledge assistants for secondary and higher secondary schools.
Apart from that, the state government has also implemented sports support scheme in schools.
Apart from that 5075 sports assistants will be appointed on contractual basis.
21000 higher honorarium will be given to the candidates on contractual appointment.
Contractual appointment of knowledge assistant teachers
According to the details received, the state government has decided to make contractual appointments of knowledge assistant teachers in the primary, secondary and higher secondary schools with the aim of not disrupting the educational work of the students until the vacant posts of teachers are filled through regular recruitment system.
Besides, the physical and mental development of the students can be done properly and the interest in yoga, physical education, and sports can increase and the students of Gujarat can represent in large numbers in the national and international sports competitions held in the world and achieve significant achievements.
And it has been decided to implement sports support scheme for the purpose of preparation for sports.
A knowledge assistant teacher will get this salary
It has been decided to place 52 contractual 'Knowledge Assistants' in the Government and aided primary, secondary and higher secondary schools of the state, especially in selected schools in 'Mission Schools of Excellence', for the purpose of providing teachers per standard.
For this, 15000 knowledge assistants will be appointed on contractual basis in primary schools and 11500 knowledge assistants for secondary and higher secondary schools. 21000 knowledge assistants of primary department who have been appointed on contract basis will be given higher honorarium of Rs 24000 for secondary department and Rs 26000 for higher secondary department.
5075 Contractual Appointment of Sports Assistant
A total of approximately 5075 sports assistants will be appointed on contractual basis in the primary, secondary and higher secondary sections who have passed the 'Sports Aptitude Test (SAT)' in government primary, secondary and higher secondary schools having a student strength of 300 or more in the state.
21000 higher honorarium will be given to the candidates on contractual appointment.

Such qualification is required for the candidates
Candidates who have qualified in TET-2 examination for Primary Division, TAT (Secondary) for Secondary Division and TAT (Higher Secondary) for Higher Secondary Division can apply for contractual appointment as Knowledge Assistant.
The applicants who have applied have to select online which school they want to work as 'Knowledge Assistant' from the list of schools published by the entire Shiksha Office, Gandhinagar and prepare the list of school knowledge assistant according to Merit cum Preference and send it to the concerned district officials will be given.
