The alert has been issued for more Thiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Ranipettai, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Myladuthurai, Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kallakurichy, Vellore, Tirupattur, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Puchchedu districts of Tamil Nadu.
